The tour starts at Tendo Station or Yamagata airport, which is easily accessible by:

• Shinkansen (bullet train) from Tokyo – approx. 2 hours 30 minutes
• Domestic flights to Yamagata Airport from Tokyo Haneda airport.

This tour includes light hiking and walking, but nothing too strenuous. The most active part is the Gassan hiking experience, which can be adjusted based on fitness levels. If you prefer a more relaxed itinerary, alternative activities can be arranged.

You will stay in two types of accommodation for a balanced experience:

• 2 nights in a mountain villa – A modern yet cozy stay surrounded by nature, perfect for relaxation.
• 1 night in a traditional onsen ryokan – A classic Japanese hot spring inn with tatami rooms, futons, and a soothing onsen experience.
